Update on Jetfuel (aka Promise)

I thought I would give everyone an update on Jetfuel.  We have decided to keep this little beauty for ourselves.  She has just attached herself to our 15 year old.  They are inseparable when they are together.  She has been renamed to Promise.

Here are some of her pictures as a new member of our household.

Jetfuel and Lawn Care

Yesterday we had our bi-monthly lawn care service here doing the yard.  We discovered that Jetfuel has anxiety with all of the noise of the mowers and blowers.  She just paced around the house and tried staying in a room in the house where the noise was not as loud.  She survived but it was a little quirk we noticed.

Later walking at the lake she was just fine.

GB's JetFuel - First few days at home

My husband and I have had Greyhounds in the past so were super excited to have the opportunity to be foster parents for GB's Jetfuel.

Jetfuel has been an absolute delight.  We picked her up on Wednesday (August 17, 2016) and brought her into our home of three dogs, one cat and one 15 year old teenager.  She has had no problems becoming comfortable.  The dogs do  not mind one another at all.  We are having a tiny issue with the cat.  Jetfuel has been intimidated by the cat.  There have been no incidences per say just the cat letting Jetfuel know she is not a fan of this very large house-guest.  Jetfuel just avoids her and she avoids Jetfuel.

Jetfuel adores our teen.  She sleeps in her room and gathers items (stuffed animals, shoes, remotes) to sleep with.  She is not chewing anything up just lays with them.  It's really adorable.

She lets us know when she needs to go outside.  Goes in her crate very well when we leave the house.  We leave her crate open and she seems to enjoy laying in it from time to time.

She isn't afraid of the few stairs that we have into my office.  She comes and visits me periodically throughout the day.

We take long walks every morning down to the lake and round the park.  She hasn't been startled by anything.  She is easy to walk.  She is a calm sweet girl.
